The Gyalwang Drukpa

FOUNDER OF LIVE TO LOVE

Since its founding in 2007, Live To Love has developed into an international aid network. Its founder, the Gyalwang Drukpa, is the head of the now 1000-year-old Buddhist Drukpa tradition of the Himalayas. In 2010, the Gyalwang Drukpa was honored for its commitment with the "Millennium Development Goals Award" by the United Nations in New York. Since then, he has received numerous other honors for his powerful activity, including the "Green Hero Award" (2010), the "Lifetime Achievement Award" (2012), the title of "Guardian of the Himalayas" (2013), awarded by the "Waterkeeper Alliance", the "South-South Award" (2013) or the Honorary Fellowship Award of Wolfson College, Oxford University (2018).
